Save important paperwork to a flash drive or the cloud by scanning it at a FedEx Office near you. After your online notary session, use FedEx Office® Print & Go to print your notarized documents quickly and easily from email, a flash drive, or the cloud.

When can I get a document notarized?

How much does it cost to get a document notarized?

A single document can be notarized for $25. If your document requires more than one notary seal, each additional notary seal will cost $10, but most documents only require one. Also, if your document requires a witness, each supplied witness will cost $10.

What do I need for online notarization?

What types of documents can be notarized online?

Most documents can be notarized online using this platform, with a few exceptions of documents that have unique restrictions. Always check with your own advisors and document recipients if you have any questions about whether your documents may be notarized online. For more information on documents with unique restrictions, see this article.

Can two or more signers get their signatures notarized in a single meeting?

Up to 10 signers in the same room (co-located) may appear before a notary in a single meeting through Notarize.

If you or other signers are in different locations, follow the steps below:

1. Have the first signer start their own meeting through Notarize.

2. Once the first signer has notarized their document, download and send the notarized document to the second signer.

3. The second signer can then upload the notarized document and proceed through the notarization process in a separate meeting. Repeat step three based on the number of signers required for your notarization.

4. After everyone has signed, you'll have one notarized document with multiple seals.

My document requires a witness. Can witness(es) be added to the notary session?

Yes. Communicate the need for a witness as normal. When it comes time for the meeting, the notary will be able to "Add a Witness" - determining the number, location, and relationship.

Is online notarization legal?

Yes! Remote online notarization is just another method of performing notarizations. A remotely notarized document is as legally valid as one notarized via traditional paper-based notarization.

Can I notarize a document for use outside the United States?

No. The requirements for the online notarization of documents that are to be used in another country differ by state and are not automatically enforced by Notarize. Also, an apostille granted by the notary’s commissioning state is usually needed to authenticate these documents for use in a foreign country, and most states have not developed a process for issuing apostilles for electronically notarized documents. Finally, use of the platform for these documents can implicate various laws that the platform is not configured to comply with such as the data privacy laws of the foreign country.

Being as we are unable to ensure that you will be connected with a notary from a state that issues apostilles for these documents or that the notarization will comply with the necessary legal requirements, we recommend that you bring your document to a traditional notary to complete your notarization.
